Fitness for Life Program
Have you tried every diet under the sun, but have never had long term success? Has your doctor told you that you need to exercise more and eat healthy because you have high blood pressure, Type-2 Diabetes or other health problems related to inactivity, but you have no idea where to start? Has your fitness level or health problems kept you from doing the activities you love? If you answered yes to one or more of the questions, then Fitness for Life is right for you!
At Berkana, we focus on helping individuals achieve their optimal potential. That’s why it was a natural progression for us to develop the Fitness for Life program. Berkana’s Fitness for Life is a comprehensive 8-week fitness program that is designed for those with health issues that prevent them from being active. This evidence-based program addresses the nutritional, physical, and emotional/mental aspects needed to help you become healthy and active….so that you can engage in the activities you love! The program is led by highly trained physical therapists, dieticians and health coaches and culminates with each participant walking/running a 5K event. Our goal is not just to help you lose weight, but to help you become a healthier you and achieve Fitness for Life!
This 8-week program includes:
Nutritional education, meal logs and meal planning
Exercise prescription modified to your unique needs
Monthly body composition measurements using ultrasound technology to measure progress
Weekly classes focused on helping you understand YOUR barriers to eating healthy and exercising regularly
Entry fee to a Couch to 5K walk/run program and race
Discounted entry fees to various 5K events throughout the summer
Access to Berkana’s back boot camp, yoga and indoor spin classes
Cost: The 8-week program is $800 and is not covered by insurance.
